Hello, my name is Francisca. My passion for personal growth and development started quite early on in my life which led me to pursue an education in Psychology. From there I went on to train and work within behaviour analysis for a few years before moving into the wonderful world of psychotherapy.
My training in behaviour analysis is what facilitated my decision to train as a counsellor and coach. I wanted to offer people a more rounded approach to their own personal development, i.e. mentally, through gaining more insight and behaviourally, by taking action. I hope you find this rounded approach beneficial as I have found it to be for me.
I have a level 7 Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching, accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), from the University of East London. I am also a member of the BACP, using their ethical framework.
I also have a Master's degree from the University of Bristol in Psychology of Education and I worked as a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) practitioner with people with Learning Disabilities and Autism in a Care setting using the principles of Behaviour analysis.
For me, working in a holistic way forms the core of my practice. We can focus on any point in your life, the past, present, or fears of the future, and slowly work our way towards the person you want to be.
I work integratively using a combination of different therapies and techniques such as CBT, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis, ACT, and the overall framework I use is called ‘Personal Consultancy’. This framework just enables me to integrate the counselling and coaching techniques to give you the best outcome.
Equally, I also offer coaching-focused sessions. Here, the sessions are focused specifically on helping you achieve the goal you have identified or to make that big decision that is pending.
